Zeenie Safiullah
Co-Founder & Director of Social Media

Zeenie was a junior at West Morris Mendham High School when she founded the Storied Lives program in 2012. Zeenie developed the concept and served as the program’s first Program Leader, overseeing the day-to-day execution of its inaugural year. Zeenie currently oversees Storied Lives digital and social media. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2017 and currently works as a Talent Acquisition professional at a B2B software company.

Tariq Sharif
Co-Founder & Director of New Program Development

Tariq helped found and bring the program to life and serves as the executive program advisor. Tariq is also responsible for Storied Lives new program development. He is VP of Marketing and Operations at a Fortune 1000 company.

Anthony Grasso
Anthony Grasso
Morristown, New Jersey
Anthony Grasso is a senior at West Morris Mendham High School and served as the Program Leader in 2018. His incredible experience in this program has further enhanced his love for meeting and learning about new people. In addition to Storied Lives, Anthony volunteers as a speaker for a drug outreach program that he founded and teaches ESL students through his church. At school, he is a member of the varsity tennis team, Future Educators Club, and Peer Tutors Association. Anthony plans to bring the interpersonal communication skills and appreciation for life acquired through this program with him wherever he goes in life, and his resident Carolyn whom he continues to visit regularly will always hold a special place in his heart.

Shannon Weiszczek
Westfield, New Jersey

As a senior at Mother Seton Regional High School, Shannon was eager to serve as the Program Leader for Stories Lives in Westfield after falling in love with the program in previous participation. She loved the way Stories Lives connects people from different generations and was glad that she could brighten the residents’ days by listening to and honoring them. Shannon currently attends Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH, where she is studying Theology and Psychology.

Maddie O’Rourke is a sophomore at Desert Mountain High School and has been a Girl Scout for 7 years. Having always enjoyed working with the older generation, she worked with Storied Lives to receive her Girl Scouts Gold Award. With Storied Lives, she hopes to tell about the lives of as many elders as possible.

Katie McErlean
Fountain Hills, Arizona

Katie has lived in Fountain Hills, Arizona all of her life and was an active participant in the Fountain Hills pilot. As a junior at Fountain Hills High School, she then acted as Program Leader where Storied Lives has been integrated into the AP English Language class. Katie is also involved in her school’s Key Club, National Honor’s Society, and Falcon Leadership program.

Adult Volunteers

Patti Milligan

Patti is Storied Lives’ first Regional Advisor, founding the first programs outside of New Jersey (Fountain Hills, AZ and Scottsdale, AZ) and exploring additional new programs in the Western part of the USA. Outside of Storied Lives, Patti has been in the nutrition field for 30 years. Working in both the clinical therapeutic nutrition and integrative medicine/natural foods fields, she brings a unique blend of clinical, educational, holistic, consumer, and PR experience. She has authored hundreds of articles and has appeared on numerous national TV news segments covering an array of food and nutritional topics and their impact on sustainable high performance and quality living. She currently consults with Tignum (tignum.com), international company engineering sustainable high performance with executives.

Kristina Ziobro

Kristina has been providing creativity, ideas and support to Storied Lives and its founders since its inception. She was instrumental in the founding of the Westfield program, and established the relationship with Sunrise Senior Living. Kristina is a brand and marketing executive. In 2017, Kristina lost her 22-year old son Michael. She dedicates her service to the stories of Michael’s life that keep his beautiful memory alive.
